I'm new to the forum. Haven't even installed a system yet. Just lurking and gathering info. I've pretty much settled on Hikvision cameras and an NVR. Don't have a capable Windows computer. I'm nervous, being new to this, about all of the compatibility/firmware stuff with Chinese products from overseas. So I'll probably purchase from BH Photo. Genuine USA product with a 3 year warranty and support(from what I've read) I know they're not on the approved list of obscure businesses that no one has ever heard of, but they're a reputable business. And the reviews of their cameras are top notch.
But....the Swann system(NVR and 4 3mp cameras) at SAMs Club has piqued my interest. Evidently Swann is a rebranded Hikvision camera. Just my thoughts.
