PTZ noise

Hi Fellows,

I have bought my very first Dahua PTZ, it is a SD59230U-HNI.
It works but when it is idling I still hear some noise from the camera.
Is it normal? Others do it as well? Just a little humming noise.
Why does it have a little humming noise ?

I used other brand so far and that is silent.

I'm not sure if it is a fan inside or what but that is normal in my experience. It might be normal for all PTZs that do endless panning, for all I know.

That is one of the reasons im debating getting a PTZ camera or not... I live in a small home owners association neighborhood, and im concern how intrusive it would make my neighbors feel if its watching them.. Im curious to hear others experiences also...

thanks guys, so it is normal then. Well, as for the level of noise if it is out on the balcony on a block of flat and the neighbour is out in the middle of the night for a cigarette he can actually hear that noise. During daytime no chance when cars going there is the usual city noise. No issue for me just, i have to explain this to them.
