Very strange! Had a look at the switch, no bad packets. Ill check the rj45 connector for any black damage in any case.

EDIT: OFFLINE again. LOL must be the wiring.

If there is the slightest remote chance of moisture getting into a connection, using Di-Electric grease will help prevent that.
Good to use it everytime.

As i suspected the connection was not burned or effected by water.

I replaced the cable and its fine now. Very odd.

hopefully you properly sealed it or you will learn the hard way. There are many threads where folks didnt think it would get damaged and did.
The question is if you actually replaced the cable the first time you said you did...

I reterminated the cable the first time, not replaced the run. What a job that was!!!
