ptz camera horizon/elevation capabilities

I am currently using my camera in multiple remote locations. I have noticed that i am unable to get a lot of good views with the camera low to the ground. currently my camera is sitting on the back of a cushman ( https://goo.gl/photos/Hzeqq6m5cQptmQFb6 ).

when i am viewing the camera feed and attempt to zoom i always end up zooming ( 20x ) into the ground and the camera will not point any higher. for now i have added washers to the mounting area in order to point it up higher when zooming. ( https://goo.gl/photos/gagfDfCik7QoJGmz6 ). The problem with this method is that you end up with the same issues that are worsened when turning to the left or right.

can anybody recomend a outdoor wifi ptz camera that would point higher for future reference?

I am unsure how to shop for a camera with this ability. If anybody could educate me on the subject, please do. thank you all.

You need a camera that has upward tilt. My first PTZ camera I bought had no upward tilt. So I got the same thing you are getting. I made sure the next PTZ camera tilted upward. I'm not aware of any good quality PTZ with upward tilt that have wifi.

You can add wifi to any camera with a $50 Ubiquiti Nanostation (Loco M2 or a bit more $$ with M5s), though I'd highly recommend using them in pairs as a wifibridge (makes the bridge the equivalent of a long wire direct from your router or switch).
 
You can physically move the dome up a couple of ticks and that will do it. I do this with my ptz since it too is mounted lower. The only problem is that if you lose power it will revert back to the default angle and you have to tilt it back upwards by hand once again. But if power loss is rarely an issue, this can help a lot.

could you be more specific? Do you mean by loosening the three or four screws on the hood and lifting it? or do you mean grab a hold of the camera piece itself and force it up a notch or two ?

I mean grab hold of the camera and tilt it up a couple of notches. Mine does this easily and will hold that adjusted position until there is a power interruption or reboot, where I have to do it again. For that reason I always remember, manually adjust two ticks up.

i have tried this twice. the second time only to confirm the results of the first attempt. with a reasonable amount of force it did not budge when attempting to tilt it up farther. It feels like it cannot physically tilt up any farther but looks like it might. Nevertheless, i believe this is a fail considering i most likely will break it if i try with more force. thank you for the suggestion though.

i did not know that was a possibility. it does seem that my other camera which is also a swann does have this capability but the camera in question does not. sadly i am limited to these parameter settings ( https://goo.gl/photos/2DzFN85osQsd34x2A ). as far as i can tell i do not beleive any of these settings are related to the tilt. If somebody believes i am wrong pleas say so. I am unsure of some of these settings due to the abbreviations.
 
I was wondering if you found a camera with more up tilt? On that same issue, is there any of the PTZ camera that work inverted?
