Hi,

A friend forgot her admin password for a ds-7616ni-i2/16p. In our country the sadp option cant work since we cant email hikvision outside the US.

Would the following work? The NVR is logged in locally .(just no access anything requiring admin access) but we can access the menu options.
We have access via ivms 4200 software.

1) Factory reset each camera using ivms 4200
2) Factory reset NVR
3) Re-activate NVR and cameras and set new admin password

Thanks
K

That would work if you really are able to do the factory resets without the admin password.
However it would be a fair bit of work.

But presumably the cameras are on NVR PoE ports.
Does iVMS4200 have the ability to factory reset the cameras?

A long shot that might yield a result :
Using SADP on a PC that's connected to an unused NVR PoE port - what are the firmware versions of the cameras?
I suspect they will be newer than the firmware that's backdoor vulnerable, but easy enough to try.
