Thank youPeople updating it.
Way more problems I've seen here and in personal experience in updating NVR and/or camera FW simply because there is a new version available than with actual security breaches or system failures because of outdated FW.
have there been specific incidents with specific FW versions that were a true problem and an update was vital? Sure, but few and far between. Very few
The old adage "if it aint broke dont fix it" is never more true than with technology.
So if the problem is not outdated firmware, is it more likely that the time change to 01.01.2004 was caused by a dead cell battery in the NVR? So if the problem is not outdated firmware, is it more likely that the time change to 01.01.2004 was caused by a dead cell battery in the NVR? Is it possible to find out from the log files that the time has changed?^+1 THIS 1,000 percent!
We get weekly posts here from someone that updated firmware just for the sake of updating and either bricked their device or lost a feature they used in the process.
