Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some help on the last step (hopefully) of my configuration which is giving me grief.

The issue I'm having is that I'm unable to record to my NVR via the iVMS-4200 application. When I try to save the schedule I get an error message and when I try to force recording I get an error message too. I can see the live stream fine via the software and the cameras record fine on the NVR box directly - just not via the software.

Hardware
Hikvision NVR with a WD Purple 3TB HDD
Model - DS-7604N-E1/4P
Firmware - V3.4.6 Build 160405

3 x Dome Cameras
Model - DS-2CD3145F-IS
Firmware - V5.3.8 build 160108
Encoding version - V7.2 build 151120

The Issue (I'm unable to record to the NVR)
When I try to save the recording schedule I get the following error message: http://imgur.com/QyejXX4
I have local recording unchecked and capture checked.

When I try to force recording by clicking the button from live view (or when motion sensing kicks in) I get the following error:

When I try to save other settings (e.g. video quality), they go through fine:

I'm really at a loss as to what to do here. The cameras can all be accessed via the web interface (safari), as can the NVR. The HDD is working fine as I can view the recorded video on it directly without issue.

AM I supposed to also set my NVR up as a storage device? When I tried that the ivms-4200 software told me that it wasn't a storage device...

What can I try next? Really appreciate any help that you can provide.

Attn Mods: I did post this over in another forum but I thought this would be a better place for it since it's Hikvision specific. For whatever reason my account that I used last night won't let me in (with multiple password resets over a few hours - I keep getting a 'wait 15 minutes' messages...) I'm not trying to spam the forum, as soon as I can get in to my old account I'll delete the other post. Thanks for understanding!

Did you set the path for where you want the files to go in "Record File Settings" and "Picture and Clip Settings" under "Local" in the web configuration page? I had your problem until I found those settings.
