Post Update, Timeline Empty

Hey guys. I just updated one step to 5.7.9.12 after dredging through some "activities" last night. My partner comes inside and asks for a look. Timeline now only shows the last six hours.

Any clues on how to restore the full timeline?

Assuming the clips are all still there on disk, the first thing I would do is restart Blue Iris (if you have it installed as a service, do this from Task Manager's services tab).

If that doesn't fix it, right click on the clip list and choose Database > Repair/Regenerate.

And now that I mention it, I need to do the same thing because most of my clips prior to 2 days ago are not showing up.

Sometimes I get really tired of Blue Iris's bugs.

Thanks BP. I'm expecting that the update would not have trashed the stored data files, so I think this should work. I didn't want to go poking around and purge anything accidentally. I've just headed out for the day, but will report back once home.

And I'm off to bed and the database regenerate is going really slowly so I won't know if it worked until tomorrow.

Note if it is anything like the last system I worked on, you may need to restart Blue Iris after regenerating the DB before you can see the clips again. Again, yay for bugs.

Argh. It appears 1 of my 2 HDDs is failing and that is what made the regenerate take so long (and it ultimately appears to have failed to regenerate the DB properly).
