Possible to FTP images from DS-2CD2132F-I?

I see an ftp tab under network settings and successfully setup ftp server....however, I dont see how to enable ftp upload upon motion detection. I have 'upload to FTP' checked under Basic Event settings with motion detection enabled. Nothing gets uploaded with motion in front of cam. Running FW 5.3. Any help is appreciated.

you gotta setup a schedule, Setup -> Storage -> Schedule -> Record Schedule and you should have yellow bars across for every day.

This is for recording 24/7, so you wont have green bars if using motion recording:

No matter how many times I set the schedule under Storage-->Snapshot to upload an image via ftp every 1 second (as a test), nothing gets uploaded.....

sounds like your FTP is broken.. are permissions and everything okay.. can you login manually and create folders and upload files?

Check your FTP server logs for any errors.
