PoE switch to NVR or router

NVR is coming in today since I didn't car for BI too much. I am trying to finish up last minute re-wiring.

Which of the following is correct?

Cams --》PoE switch --》port on NVR port --》WAN on NVR to router

OR

Cmad --》PoE switch --》router --》WAN port on NVR

If possible cams and NVR should be connected to the switch then switch to router..

Just plug the NVR into the switch like another cam?

yes, this way no traffic passes through your router unless you are viewing the cams remotely or locally on another device...
