POE switch problem

I just installed my SD49225T-HN. Last night I connected a temp cable to my
TL-SG1008PE (Amazon.com: TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE Rackmount Switch with 8-PoE+ Ports (TL-SG1008PE): Computers & Accessories)

Everything worked fine overnight, no issues. However, today I permanently attached my network cable and used the same POE switch. When I was cleaning up, I noticed my cam was off. The troubleshooting began and the only way I got the cam to power on was using my separate POE injector. It seemed like my switch was no longer powering the cam. I have another cam (hikvision) which is using the POE switch without a problems. Also, for a few hours prior to cleaning up for the night, the POE switch was running the cam without problems and then suddenly it wouldn't power the cam. Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks.

did you use T568B for your permanent cable? If you take PTZ down and bench test it with a prefab will the switch fire it back up? Needa figure out if that cable you ran today is the issue.

I will try another cable in a few days. I tested the cable with a tester and all appeared ok. Thanks.

cheap Continuity testers are very basic and just ensure you wires didnt get crossed or left floating somehow.. there can still be faults in the wiring that the'll never reveal.

Is there something a guy on a budget can get that is better than a cheap continuity tester?

plug a computer into both ends and do some stress testing of network transfer while checking for interface errors, drops, etc.
