PoE ports on NVR4104 for non PoE device

Hello,

I cannot find the answer to this anywhere obvious, and I don't have access to the NVR to look for myself...

Is anyone able to tell me if it is possible to turn off Poe power to the ports on the back of the dahua NVR4104?

As well, is it possible to add cameras to this NVR without plugging them into the poe ports? I.e can I just manually add cameras to the NVR that are on the same network as the NVR via IP address?

Yes you can add cameras via an external switch; however, you cannot exceed the number of cameras for the NVR.

For example, if it is an 8 channel NVR, you cannot add 10 cameras even if they are not connected to the NVR POE ports.
