Is it recommended to change the ONVIF admin account password? I tried to change it but getting invalid password error for the current password , I used admin as old password.
If you are using an NVR or Blue Iris and you are trying to pull ONVIF triggers over and you created a username that is not in the ONVIF Manager, then the ONVIF triggers will not work. If you are just using the admin account, then you are fine as those would change when you change the password for admin, which is why you are getting an error.
Plus depending on your camera or firmware, recent Dahua I believe needs an 8 digit password.
If your cameras are isolated from the internet, posting your camera password is not a problem LOL.
