NVR to PC to use BI

Hi All,

I have been reading posts on this forum and decided to setup my first surveillance system.
Just ordered a few cameras and NVR from Andy.

What i did not research was how to use NVR for live feeds and notifications. I thought i may be able to use NVR for all that. I was wrong.. and i am feeling terrible about it.

I have asked Andy to cancel NVR order as i am thinking BI setup instead. But the order says it is shipped.

Is there any way to view the camera feed on NVR setup from outside.
Or in future may be use BI with any combination of already purchased NVR.

Hi Imran,

As the NVR is a IP device, there's numerous options you can do with it.

For viewing any video feeds from outside of your home LAN look at setting up a VPN server on your router ( ASUS routers are liked here as many of them already include the VPN software on them ).
