NVR Recommendations with AI for small business?

Hi All!

I am running a small warehouse business and I am looking for face detection for setup. Are there any good recommendations?

My setup is likely:

• 16 cameras, 8x1080p cameras, 8x 4x cameras
• Generally better motion detection than simple changes in pixels (ie object detection)
• need line cross detection
• face detection for VIP or unknown personal - nice to have
• Budget is less than $2k for only the NVR (without drives)
• 3 months of recording, 8-6pm motion detection recording only.

My two solution paths:

• I can setup my own enterprise grade hardware to run a VMS so I am not limited to hardware specs. My options are Blue Iris (no AI though), Sighthound (seems too new and limited), milestone (licensing costs)
• Box setups are HKVision Acusense(any concerns regarding the US Ban?) or Synology Deep Learning DVA3219 (No face detection)

I am leaning towards the Synology Deep Learning DVA3219 since the reviews for their surveillance station seem pretty good?
