I've did a search on location of NVR and hot rooms with any problems of overheating and could not find anything. I have NVR 5216-16p-4ks2 and 7 HDW5231R-ZE cameras I am about to install. I wanted to install NVR in the master bedroom but it is located at top most floor and gets quite hot upstairs in the summer. I have a few options with one in the lower level which is much cooler or the bedroom as I discussed. Is hot rooms in the summer cause for problems or issues related to overheating?

I have 2 Dahua 4208 PoE NVR's in weatherproof boxes outside in the Florida heat, you'll be fine.

It’d be in the master bed closet. I’ve powered the unit and played around. It’s not loud at all.
