I'm new to this so bare with me. System was working in "Live" yesterday but failed to show any recordings. Then later it stopped me accessioning alltogether including "Live" by blocking access after entering password. It said she insecure (confirmed in theGoogle address bar. There was an OK option in the same box which I thought would by pass the risk and let me in - but no. Then I tried to be a "techy" and reset permissions (attached) in settings and got a different warning (attached) saying "network Abnormal" - Any ideas?

It's not Google (a web site), it's your Google "Chrome" (a browser).
You need to reset Chrome's privacy settings to default.
Open Chrome and do this ==>> Reset Chrome settings to default

Thanks - tried that - still no change. I have attached a screen shop showing where Im signing in from (top left saved CCTV live view) and what appears once signed in

If you did not block these below manually, it won't allow you to UNblock and reset does not clear them, I'd uninstall Chrome, restart PC then re-install Chrome.
Also, don't install ANY extensions (like PDF readers, Maps, etc.), then try opening camera's webGUI again.

I can open the webGUI of one of my IP cams (an Amcrest IP2M-841, OEM is Dahua) with Google Chrome even if blocked manually and Chrome says "insecure" in red.

Ah. Searched for and Looked at "How to uninstall Chrome on Mac" - it looks so complicated to me - probably have to ask/pay someone to do it. Don't want to loose my bookmarks etc. Thanks for you r help though.

Wow. I would think even less difficult on a Mac than a PC. I looked at them too and if you can go step-by-step you could do it, I'll bet.
Any way, you should tell the person works on it for you that FIRST THING you want them to do is to export Chrome's bookmarks to a file to be safe (so they can be imported later if necessary).

Contacted Apple - they took over my screen. Ran checks. All ok and suggested the wifi connection between Mac and HIKvision hard drive/box is disconnected. Will call out engineer who fitted it i think

That network "abnormal error" might be very well mean an IP conflict on the camera (IP conflict, two devices on the network with the same IP).
