Not displaying HDD's

I have 4200 with the storage server installed on the same computer. I have the storage server running and added under device management. When I open the remote config, there are no HDD's showing up under Storage>General. I believe this is why I can't record anything. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Just an update I got that mystery figured out. I had 4tb of storage, one mounted inside the other. Guess this program only sees spare HDD's that the OS is not installed on.

What I ended up doing was jamming the drives in a freenas box and creating an iSCSI target, worked like a charm.
