The original plan was to buy a pre-assembled kit from Costco. But eventually I went the piece by piece route. I went with a 16 channel NVR with 12 Hikvision dome & 2 bullet cameras.

If you plan to install the dome cameras outdoors:
Hope you read the cliff notes and various posts with regards to dome cameras and potential issues with them when used outdoors.

I found this site after i installed the system. But luckily i only have 2 domes exposed to sunlight. The rest are covered by the eves of the house. So when those two domes get killed by the sun i will replace with bullet cams. Thank you for that info!
