No video on NVR for new camera just black screen

My Dahua NVR is only showing a black video feed when I add camera to NVR. Is this a common problem you can point me in the right direction? These are new cameras I just ordered from Andy being added to a existing system. Search only yielded one similar problem I could find but no solution was posted. Typically I only use actual branded Dahua cameras instead of the generic unbranded ones and never had this problem in the past. Is there a different process for adding the generic cameras?

NVR: DH-NVR608-64-4KS2
Camera: IPC-5442TM-AS-3.6MM

Forgot to add video is just fine if I connect directly to camera via browser.

Doesn't look like you checked the audio/video box with the main stream. You just have the video checked on the sub stream. Maybe?
Or maybe try something other than h.265.

I found a YT video that said change Encode Mode to H264 instead of H265 and video now shows. I guess new question is doesn't this NVR support H265?

It likely does but it must match what the cam's webGUI says the cam is set for, which is likely H264.

They were both set h265. Only works when both changed to H264. May need a firmware update on nvr.
