so ... assign static ip to this camera. Then connect to the switch and the switch to the router. Does the switch need to be connected to the PC?
This has nothing to do with this post, but OK LOL.I didn't want to create a new post so I'll use this one. I have the EmpireTech NVR and S3 cams, and it keeps asking me to install their plugins. Are they safe to install? Looks like I should only use legacy Internet Explorer?

If you want full functionality of the NVR then you need to install them LOL.
And yes Explorer is your best bet.
Keep in mind that many of these virus scans simply work off of algorithms of number of their customers that have used the file/program, so if it is coming up in some of them, that is probably why.
