Hey folks,

I'm finally making some headway in setting up my EmpireTech system, but have hit a bit of a roadblock on the setup. I have the 5-EL 16 channel system. All the cameras are plugged in and I can see video just fine. I plugged in an ethernet cable to the ATT internet and that seems to be working. I downloaded the "EasyViewer Plus" app on my iPhone and an see the 9 cameras on the app. I was able to even name all the cameras (felt like a big win for me).

Issue:
  • How can I get it so that if there is motion detected, that I get an alert on my phone?
  • What "AI" settings can I turn on?
Is there any online tutorial I can follow along for setting up?

I have:
Thank you and happy Monday!

Stay away from plain MD. It will give you a lot of false alerts

You want to use IVS (AI) and you want to set it ip on the individual camera interfraces not the NVR (even though it has the capability) You lose as much as 1/2 your inbound bandwidth capability by enabling AI on the NVR

Go into the AI on each Camera direct UI
Choose Smart Plan = IVS
The on the IVS page, create rules (start with a tripwire) and Target Filter Human/Vehicle, and follow the choices and draw a rule
Make sure at bottom you choose Record and Snapshot for Event Linkage
