I've had my system setup for a few years and went back to clips and archives options after upgrading to windows 10 to make sure they were optimal. Looks like they are not. I have a 4tb Purple drive and a 256gb SSD. I had the db located on the purple so have changed that to the ssd. I have the new folder limited to 3000gb and moved to stored. The stored is limited to 500gb and delete. The alerts is limited to 100gb and delete.

It seems like I should just use new and limit to 3600gb and delete. Should I do that and clear the paths for stored and alerts (not use them)?

Thanks, Eric

Correct. Record direct to disk to the new folder on the purple, and don't use stored. Set new to delete at 50 or 100mb less than the usable capacity.
db and alerts on the SSD.
The alerts folder is empty unless you check 'store alerts as high-res files' on the record tab (don't). You can set the alerts folder limit to something low, I think I have 100mb just in case.
