New to IVS - a few questions

You don't have it turned on

And keep in mind at that tight field of view, it may not count many vehicles.

You chose the wrong cameras (LPR) for testing IVS lol :lmao:
By the way, what sensitivity setting do most use for IVS setting in Web 5? I believe it is default setting of 5

Well, it's a good learning experience for GUI 5. Now, I'll have to mess with GUI 3 because they are totally different. Best way to learn is to do and make mistakes - don't be afraid to make mistakes because everybody does at some point

Yep, we have all been there!

Which GUI do you prefer?

Version 3 is by far the most straight forward GUI. Much of it is self-explanatory. Version 5 requires a manual for the previous version 3 and new users. A lot of options are hidden in places that I would never associate with the function. Version 5 has way more versatility, if you can find your way around. I'm sure I will eventually become used to 5, but still struggling currently

Yep, most of us feel the same way! 5 is growing on me, but too many clicks to get where I could get to with 1 with the old GUI.

Ok, I'm still not getting statistics from detection on screen.

Sensitivity is set to 8 and the rest as seen in the cap below

Scene is zoomed too much for AI to decide what the object is

Thats not a good scene for VMD- regular IVS would be better

Have you seen the camera actually trigger for an object? Do you have an SD card in the camera to confirm the camera actually triggered?

As we said, testing an LPR setup camera for IVS is the wrong choice LOL. Whether IVS is intrusion or tripwire doesn't matter.

In order for the AI to work it needs to be able to see the object, decide if it is an object to be concerned about, monitor it and trigger if it meets the threshold.

Your field of view may only see a quarter to half of a vehicle - the field of view is too tight and the object is in view for such a short time - that is not enough vehicle for it to see to trigger reliably. Sure you may get some, but you will miss quite a bit as well.

I try to get about the full car length in the shot. This allows IVS to trigger during the day.

At night like I said, I just use a line of MD squares

Attached is the usual capture for this camera. It's the whole vehicle, so I don't understand why it isn't working

Is this a different camera than the one above with this field of view?

If it is different - where is your IVS line for this camera?

That may be one that is just missed - a grey vehicle matching the color of the street in a shaded area that is in and out of the field of view quickly can be missed.

Same location. Just currently adjusted slightly right of the capture with the Honda. And the aspect ratio is slightly off because the capture is a screen cap from my phone. I had to swap the camera out with the 4K-X because the light from the 4K-X was crisscrossing the path of the B52IR and creating glare at night from the white LEDs.

The cap with the Honda was from December. The current cap is from today

For IVS purposes those are two different field of views.

The December capture will show a lot more vehicle than below unless the aspect ratio is really that far off on the phone LOL.

Any chance you can get the right field of view shown? Because based on below I can see how it would miss many vehicles.
