Full release notes for 5.5.61 posted in this thread Websockets setting on G1 (5.5.61) and R6 (5.5.53)
I've upgraded my G1 to 5.5.61 but live view not working on Chrome. The playback tab is now missing too!
I'm wondering....if Websockets is related to the Live View in Chrome and Firefox, it may need to be Windows 8 or later to work.
I understand that Websockets is only supported in Windows 8 and Windows 10.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro so could explain why I get the "Live View Failed" message when using Chrome to bring up the camera web interface.
Interested to know if anyone using Windows 8 or later is having any success.

I have an R7 IP dome running 5.5.8 build 180902 (http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/uk/p...ries_En_V5.5.8/IPD_R7_EN_STD_5.5.8_180902.zip) which does not have the websockets option, so it would appear it is not universally implemented in all the latest R7 firmware.
