New firmware Hikvision V5.3.8 Build 151224

Hi Guys,

Any know where to download it from?

I have recently bought DS-2CD2042WD-I 6mm and it came with pre-installed firmware V5.3.8_151224 but can't see it yet on HikVision website available for download:

I downloaded 5.3.8 today and upgraded my 2T42WDI8. The upgrade went flawlessly, but I am disappointed that this firmware didn't help with the instability of the NAS storage feature.
 
Is it safe to upgrade fw on 2CD2032 model bought from Amazon ??? Possibly china version using the FW on europian site...Sorry new to this forum....Can anyone confirm please ?
 
Also I noticed the latest FW on the link posted above have a FW name with chrome....Does anyone know if it solves the chrome liveview issue ??
 
Yes i'm still waiting a firmware with chrome live view possibility, they were supposed to release it end of 2015 ...
 
I am unable to use Chrome for live view with V5.3.8 Build 151224. Also, I still haven't seen the release notes for this version/build. I'm not really sure what was changed or improved with this version. I did the upgrade, but haven't discovered any benefits.
 
Hello all,

I have upgraded as well my 3 cams to 5.3.8 and no real difference so far ;) but I didn't had many issues (except registering my NAS partitions in NFS).

Will be curious to read the release note :)
