Setting up several new cameras. A new in the box (but prob 1-2 years on shelf) IPC-T5442T-ZE doesn't like admin/admin. It replies with 'Login Failed!' Also tried
admin/
admin/password
admin/Admin
admin/1234

Took the cover off and did a button reset but still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

These don't have a default password. They come ready to be initialized.

You need the super duper reset:

Unplug power
push and hold in reset
Provide power while reset held
Hold reset in for 2 minutes
Release reset button

Try opening it up on Internet Explorer (yeah we know LOL).

Thanks. When first connecting (.108) it asks for region and then goes to the login screen with 'admin' filled in as username and password blank. It does not do time zone nor does it ask to set a password.

I'll give the super duper reset a try later tonight. Thank you!

I don't think we've anything around for years with IE on it. :)

Yeah I had that happen once on a firmware upgrade. Super Duper reset got it going again LOL

Explorer is still there and there are ways to get Explorer again.

The simple way is to change the BHO folder to another name like oldBHO and BAM Explorer is back...and this thread also shows other ways...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\110.0.1512.48\

Then change BHO to oldBHO or something else and Explorer will open

Looks Like Internet Explorer Died Today

Or this way:

Trouble with new DS-2CD3B86G2T-IZHSY -missing part of menu

"But I upgraded to Win11" .... yep still available:

Internet Explorer via W11

But if for some reason the super duper reset still doesn't work with Explorer, then give Edge a try.

One of these days these things will actually work with any browser LOL
