I installed 9 cameras for a client. They are not happy with remote viewing of longse.com nvr. Sometimes they get 1-2 cameras to view. Sometimes non at all.

Checked port fwding and settings. All are correct. Clients internet is fiber! 100+mbs so that shouldn't be a problem.

What should I do? What is your favorite Iphone app and camera vendor combo?

Thank you for your help,

Sounds like Longse is the problem. You will likely regret buying those cameras, too.

For now, I would suggest Blue Iris, because it works with nearly every IP camera ever made and has good mobile apps that will work splendidly with 100 Mbps fiber.

Blue Iris is a software NVR which runs on Windows. Choosing Hardware for Blue Iris | IP Cam Talk

You could try that with the existing cameras and see if it solves the problem.

So your client is using the longse own app? I didn't know that they have some...
Do you get all cameras locally on the NVR? Are you sure with the port forwarding. Sometimes you need to forward more ports especially when you use h264. I have some very good experience with the IP cam viewer from Robert chou, link to Google store hereIP Cam Viewer Basic - Android Apps on Google Play
There is also an iOS version. The interface is not very nice but it works with mostly every camera and NVR/DVR.

Before you change the NVR or using a software NVR like blue iris, which will need a pc or server, try the app.

that app along with others like tinycam (which is better than ipcamviewer) are practically useless because they can only display live video and cannot pass alerts...

thanks fenderman i will check out the tinycam app. didnt know about it. But stevef22 didn't mentioned that he wanna pass some alarms. It was just about viewing live. But now he has two options to try. For the alarm thing he can be setup an event to send some email, for example. Not the nicest way but maybe is this enough for his client
