Hi
I've a bi-spectral camera from hikvision (ds-2td2667t-15/p). I need to read the temperature data via modbus rtu. Actually I've connected the camera v´with a rs485 to usb adapter with my pc and i'm trying to read datas with qmodmasters. But I see nothing.... has anyone experience to get datas via modbus rtu from the cameras?

I have no idea how that may be possible, but wanted to wish you best of luck in achieving it, and let you know I'll be watching this thread. Old-time general hacker here. There's a very small possibility one or two forum members may be able to help.

ok thank you. Maybe the wiring is wrong. On the camera I've a plug on wich is written rs485 this plug has 3 contacts: "0-"," " and "0+". I connected 0- with the contact B on the USB adabpter and 0+ with the contact A on the USB adapter. Is that right?

You need designated MODBUS model such as

There is a additional Serial output designed for MODBUS communication for using it in PLC and such

Look how the connector looks

Besides normal RS485 which you can see its on image 1

Here on Image 2 you can see Serial output for modbus

There is older documentation(Cant share my new, NDA) on scribd

Good luck

Sorry I wasn't able to handle qmodmaster :banghead:.... Now I get datas but I don't understand to interprate them.

Yes it seems to be the temperature data. 658 means 65.8°C I think. In the systemconfiguration I've to enter the connection datas.
