Need to fix IR flare problem

I mounted the varifocal camera on a stepladder so I could mess with it and the Xeoma software I'm trying. The pics with the golf cart (day + night) are from that setup. The pics looking down on the street (day + fogged night) are from the mounted camera. It's my guess that the white metal beam to the left of the lens is reflecting IR back into the lens.

Rather than re-engineer the install, is there something I can apply to the beam that will prevent the reflection?

Regards,

I suppose choice #1 would be to move it to the other side of that beam assuming you'd be aiming away from it..

Otherwise, perhaps turn off the IR on the camera and add a supplemental IR source.. they're inexpensive, but you would have to get power to it.

For the love of god, wrap that connection in coax seal or the next thread will be about the camera not working.
