I could use some wisdom. Should I keep going or scrap it?
Had my NVR4208-8P with 6 dahua outside cams for years. Slowly the bullets are beginning to fail and I'm replacing with IPC-HDW4631C-A. The cams I bought last year were dahua branded and work great with the NVR. I just unboxed the one I bought recently - IPC4631CA-2B "DAHUA OEM" and it seems to work well so far but the NVR has a few issues with it. I can change the encoding, resolution, etc but I cant turn off the dang audio. Each time I uncheck the box and hit apply it never saves. My first thought was firmware compatibility but of course that opens up a can of worms. I subscribe to "aint broke dont fix", but i won't have the audio enabled. Plus I may discover additional stupidity once I start really configuring the camera.

Ok so that was long winded and probably irritating to endure , but basically what would you do?

Return the Dahua OEM cam?
Upgrade the Dahua OEM cam? (which ver?)
Upgrade the NVR ? (which ver?)
Replace the NVR? (which works well but is possibly antiquated)

NVR4208-8P v. 3.200.0000.3
IPC4631CA-2B v. "blank"

Thank you

Are you using IE11 or Palemoon 32 bit for a browser when you log in to the cam's webGUI?
Often times you must use one of those to get the "save" to actually do so.

FWIW, IE11 is hiding in Win 10, just search for it.

Thanks TonyR. I have avoided using a computer to access the cam interface thus far, I have been using the NVR interface via mouse K/B.
