I have many Foscam camera. Mostly FI9821P and FI9831P.
Recently I found out I can update the firmware so that I can use Chrome processor.
I successfully updated my cameras which fixed Color issue in low light and also allows me to log on using Chrome. Hurray.
I have one FI9821W v2
I check for update through camera interface and the updates required newer version of firmware in order to update. So the Firmware the camera update offered would not upgrade the firmware to latest version. Then I went to foscam.com and clicked on firmware update. the email I got had link to updates that would update my firmware. I wish I had not updated my camera via those links. it seems now they downgraded my firmware to a lower version that is no longer upgradable.
Here is link foscam automated email sent me:
FI9821W V2 - Version 2.x.1.119
Download FI9821W Latest Firmware
At least 2.11.2.8 is required to update to 2.x.1.119
2.x.1.118 Download
2.x.1.10 Download
2.11.2.8 is required to update to 2.x.1.10
2.11.1.6 is required to update to 2.11.2.8
1.11.1.18 is required to update to 2.11.1.6
1.11.1.16 is required to update to 1.11.1.18
So I updated my firmware to 2.x.1.119. :-( big mistake.
Now looking back, I should have stayed with whatever the version I had.
I feel like I downgraded by going from 2.x.2.8 or whatever it was to 2.x.1.119.
But that's what I have now, 2.x.1.119.
I need to update the camera to 2.x.2.27 which is really the latest version that fixes issues with Chrome and color issues.
Does anyone know where I can get step-up firmware that allows me to step-up from
2.x.1.119 to 2.x.2.27?
Through the camera, I did download firmware, but it says it requires:
System firmware 1.5.x.11, 1.5.x.12, 1.5.x.13, App firmware 2.x.1.10, 2.x.1.11, 2.x.1.12, 2.x.1.131, 2.x.1.134, 2.x.1.143 or 2.x.2.5 can upgrade to this version;
Here is what I have now:
I would really appreciate any help providing links that would allow me to upgrade from this to higher version so that I can finally upgrade my application firmware to 2.x.2.27. System firmware also needs to be updated to 1.5.x.13 or higher as well.
