Need help buying system

So I am new to all of this but have been doing research ever since almost buying a lorex costco system. After reading i think im going to go with 4 or 5 http://www.nellyssecurity.com/camer...therproof-turret-dome-ip-security-camera.html

With two 3TB WD purple hard drives is there anything else i would need to connect to a tv? I know you guys and gals prob answer these questions all the time but i really need the help thanks!

You will get better low light performance with the 4mp or better yet the 2mp hikvision cameras. That NVR may not detect motion events from hikvision cams, check with nellys....You might consider a pc based NVR running milestone or blue iris. Milestone is free for 8 cams...

I cant find any hikvision cameras on nellys website? The only prob is i dont have a desktop computer in my house i only have my microsoft surface, unless you have any other options...

Yes but that is a 2.8mm lens which is likely too wide for your application...Both of the cameras you linked to are rebranded hikvision cameras...you can buy an intel haswell or skylake based pc for 200-300 dollars...
 
Ok so what would you suggest fenderman and where to buy? Im looking for 5 cameras outside mostly maybe one for inside garage, most in a residential neighborhood with street lights nothing to bright, im wanting to be able to access the cameras from work since i work shift work...

You need to read the threads and learn about different cams, lens sizes, varifocal, night/low light issues and capabilities etc, and see what works best for you..
 
I honestly have spent hours on here over the last couple of nights and some stuff just doesnt make sense to me... I am at the point now that im just confused i thought the setup up at top would be decent but it sounds like maybe not..
 
You should use this one for the NVR instead of the eyesurv, this will work with those cameras you linked since they are made by Hikvision. when using IP system i always recommend same manufacturer.

Two main things i hope this can help that i find people are most confused about:

Lens...(mm = millimeter)
The lower the mm = Wider angle = less pixel density (since the pixels are dispersed over a larger area of coverage) BUT covers more area...ideal if you aren't looking for facial recognition and just need some general coverage.
The Higher the mm = narrower angle = more pixel density (since the pixels are condensed over a smaller area of coverage) BUT covers less area...good for things like doors/gates/entries/ far away distances/face recognition

DWDR vs 120 Db WDR (WDR = Wide Dynamic Range)

DWDR does NOT help with glare/bright sunlights/area with shades + bright lights....i would only use DWDR if i don't have a choice or enough budget or only for indoor areas without sun-facing windows (unless you pull the shades down) outside is fine too if the area you are covering have similar level of brightness.

120 DB WDR helps with glare and sunlight and are good for seating near windows/glass doors/glass walls/loading docks/garage doors/auto shops where the garage doors are always opened etc/ cameras installed under a shaded area but looking out towards a bright sun-lit area like a lawn.

Hey @Kpanic09, fenderman and Fruit have excellent suggestions. The NVRs are easy to setup and are plug and play as long as you stick to the same brand. If you don't think you'll ever need more than 8 cameras, as Fruit said, the NSN-608-8P is a perfect choice. I have the same unit at my home and it's been running stable for over 2 years with 7 cameras on it.

Also, you'll need a cat5 cable for each camera and one to go to the router if you don't have those already. Other than that the only other thing you might need is an HDMI cable to view the NVR on your TV.
