Moving around storage and removing a drive - best way to move clips?

I added a 22TB disk and need to remove a 12TB disk, as well as completely re-balancing all my cameras around the disks. I have things set pretty good now but now have a 12TB disk full of clips

Should I just move them into the drives they should be in? I tried doing that and the database started repairing on its own and failed until I stopped the move, I guess because of the new storage "Managed Folder" stuff?

I could just wait it out, but I'd like the drive sooner than later

Personally, since the DB is so fragile, I would just not worry about adding that 12TB of files back.

Certainly by now you would know if something happened that would be on those 12TB?

Heck, when it has been quiet for awhile, I delete all the video and delete the DB folder just so BI starts with a fresh DB every once in awhile.

Yeah true, maybe I'll wait a day or 2 and just nuke it

Then as soon as I mount my PTZ I guess add more storage

If you do want to move the files, you can copy them with the following steps; configure BI for the new folders then shut down the BI service and copy the files to new location; BI must be shut down for the entire duration of the copy, then start up BI and do a full rebuild of the DB. I have done this and it worked for me on two different installations!
