There used to be a program available called Trackit that made Blue Iris use the ptz of the camera and track movement. Does anyone know where this went or is available or is this feature in the plans for Blue Iris in the future maybe, thanks
Track it was developed by a third party (Dwayne from cam-it.org) He has long ago stopped development and is not releasing the software.....auto tracking works best when built into the camera because the delay caused by the pc sending the commands causes issues...
That is to bad on both accounts. Saw it in other software, no its not perfect, nothing is but very useful still the same, and the return home after x seconds seemed to solve any mis triggers, thanks
Its understandable though...99 percent of users have fixed cams...motion tracking ptz is a HUGE undertaking if done right (and results will vary significantly depending on how responsive the camera is)...Ken at blue iris is not going to do something half baked...so its just a matter of limited resources...There is a reason that larger developers like milestone and exacq do not offer this function...If you want to use a ptz correctly, the best way is the was user @nayr has done, with motion sensors and magnetic sensors to move the ptz to a specific preset.
