Motion ghosting

Hi, I am not sure what did I adjusted incorrectly but I am seeing ghosting every time there is motion on my camera recordings. I am using IPC-HDW5442TM-AS.

Here is a snapshot of what it looks like.



My camera video settings are:

Profile H.264H
Smart Codec OFF
Resolution 2688x1520
FPS 15
Bit Rate VBR
Quality 5
Max Bit Rate 8192
I Frame Interval 15
SVC 1 (off)

On Blue Iris I have it set to 15 FPS with Direct to Disk recording enabled, no overlays. I am recording continuously but do have motion detection on.

Any thoughts?

I have 9 cameras currently setup. 6 - IPC- HDW5231R-EZ and 3 IPC-HDW4431C-A.
In each camera's setting, I have Backlight set to WDR - 45.
I also had 3DNR Grade set to 70, but objects left a heavy trail like the one shown in your picture, so I changed it to default (50), which doesn't leave a trail. Hope it helps.

+1 looks like DNR blur to me. turn it down... Try turning WDR down if DNR doesn't help. change only one thing at a time, tho...

then again, maybe that's just Schrodinger's cat and you're observing quantum superposition...

Are you running BI headless ?

Yes, using BI headless and I am using hardware acceleration (i5-9400).

Also set sleep of the BI display and system to off (never).

If that does not work, test with the hardware acceleration off, you may have a bad driver.

Then you can still use it with a monitor when you need to.
I leave a long cable on it, so I don't have to dig it out from the rack.
