Motion Detection, relay on camera or BI software ?

I hope my doubts are not to silly but I cam from analog cameras :sad2:

The motion detection and consequently record is a job of the camera or de BI software ?

Because I see cheap cameras that has a bad motion detection, but if I use it to feed BI NVR do this matter ?

You can choose which to use when using some of the more popular camera models like Hikvision. The camera can use the motion onboard and sent a trigger for BI to record. Or when using the cameras that don't have good motion, use BI for motion detection. It's really up to you on how you want to do it, so long as the camera motion plays nice with BI that is.
