Hello all,

I am having an issue where BI is 'too slow' to react to recording motion. If motion occurs, BI only captures the very last few frames, or nothing at all. It's as if the motion is too fast for BI and so it does not trigger in time.

I have set both sliders all the way to the left in the Motion Detection tab and also set the Make/Break time to 0.3 seconds. The motion being missed takes much longer than 0.3 seconds to cross the cameras path and is a fairly large object. However, in many cases, only the last few frames get captured of 2+ seconds of motion.

Any ideas?

Thanks all.

@JH2000 If you are recording direct to disk it is important to match your cameras iframe interval to your fps since blue iris only begins a new recording when a complete new frame is sent. So for example if you are recording at 15fps and have set your iframe interval to 50, then more than 3 seconds may go by before blue iris begins recording on motion (it will depend on when in the 50 frames motion was triggerd).
Second set the pretrigger frames to at least 2 times your fps. So if your fps is 15 set it to 30. Camera properties record.
You may have other settings impeding proper triggering, but try the above first.
