Had some free time and the moon looked nice in the sky, so trained my DS-2DF8C442IXS-AELW(T2)4MP PTZ camera on it.
Thought I'd share a couple of pics as they might be of interest and I like moon pics:
1) no zoom, moon is the middle white dot. The other things are street lights. Gain, shutter speed etc turned way down which is why you can hardly see anything:
2) Moon (not sure what zoom level as I turned it off on the OSD):
Probably possible to take a better shot by playing with settings, or using image combining software to composite detail from multiple images.
Focus not perfect either - but at that zoom level the moon is moving across the screen reasonably fast meaning I had to keep moving the camera
