I'm currently using 2 old phones as in-home monitors for my dahua system. The phones are a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a S7. Their sole function is to stream anywhere between 1 and 4 cameras at a time using P2P (P4P?) using gDMSS lite. Very regularly I notice lag and missing frames.
I know my NVR, ethernet, and router are up to the task. I'm assuming this means my phones/monitors are NOT up to the task of live view? I want to get a tablet (with larger screen) to take over this function, but obviously want to purchase something that is capable.
What is your experience and opinion? Do my phones not have sufficient hardware/software? gDMSS problem?
