Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with Milestone's Husky NVRs? What is the benefit of running a Husky over making your own i7 PC? Just going from their specs page on their top-of-the-line Husky M50:

They talk about optimized hardware but I don't see anything other than standard PC parts. If they had a custom chip (eg FPGA decoding H.264 for display), that would be an advantage over a PC.

Windows Embedded Standard 7
Maximum power consumption 80W, 24V DC input

Power Input 200W / 100~240V

Different OS and PSU. May be ULV chips especially with it being fanless. Anything special beyond that? Nope.
