MicIn Setting not working

I am currently having issues with quite a few of my cameras. They are Hikvision DS-2CD2135F cameras and according to the paperwork I have seen from them you should be able to attach an external mic to the camera for recording purposes. I am able to attach the mic just fine but in the cameras individual settings I am unable to change the sound setting from LineIn to MicIn, as shown below. Is there some setting I am missing to allow me to change LineIn to MicIn?

Have you tried to see if the audio works anyways?
I have a no name camera that the audio works without enabling it as long as the external MIC is attached.

The audio does NOT work currently after testing multiple ways. Through iVMS on a remote computer and through a Remote Desktop Protocol(LogMeIn)
