Lorex 8-Channel 4K NVR + 2TB HDD + 8 4K Cameras at Costco

I picked up this set from Costco yesterday and today played with the cameras a little bit (connecting to the NVR). I noticed that the cameras were a tad hot to the touch. Is this normal for IP cams? I couldn't find any info on Lorex website regarding power consumption for this model of camera (E891AB). The output of the power supply to the NVR is 48V/2A. That's a total of 96 watts (for 8 cams + NVR). I recall from one of the threads that IP cams draw about 2-5 watts on the average. Just the amount of heat generated by this camera would definitely take more than 5 watts.

Hi drchipster,
How do you like the TN81828B8 system? I'm thinking about getting one from Costco too.
Thanks,

I haven't put them up yet. Still running the ethernet cables. I did put one camera on a 2x4x8 piece of wood to try out the coverage at different locations. I have neither a 4K monitor nor a 4K TV but the picture at 1080p is pretty good. I haven't tried the infrared mode at night yet. Since the cameras have wide angle lenses (110 degree viewing angle if I remember correctly) the picture is distorted a little bit (like looking through a fish bowl). I'm more concerned about the heat generated by the camera. Cisco has a generous return policy so I can always bring them back if I don't like them (make sure to buy your own ethernet cables and don't use the ones that come with the cameras).

I'm thinking of picking up that one also.
Those of you who're using Lorex systems, please feel free to chime in.
Thanks in advance..
