An existing Orbi router/system or Orbi Pro router/system is required to use this product.

My system is UniFi-based... I've been looking at their $99 outdoor AC-Mesh AP (which can also be hardwired):

I am using this and it works great for us. We have a 2 tier back yard and the upper tier always had spotty reception. I'm running all Ubiquiti gear and decided to try out the AC Mesh and couldn't be happier. I've got it mounted off an eave on our second story and we've got full bars now when we're in the upper backyard.
