Longse 3MP 1/2.8 IMX124 + S2L AND 4MP 1/3 OV4689 +S2L with 2.8mm 12mm lens

Upon searching for varifocal options I ran into couple options with S2L & IMX124/OV4689. It may not have the sensitivity of the IMX178, but having 2.8mm-12mm varifocal makes up for it.

I am torn between the two options and can't really tell whether IMX124 or OV4689 will be better. Hardware used in variety of housings, including my favorite turret (http://www.longse.com/Info/View_pro.asp?id=762)

Yup, the auto zoom is nice, it's basically same as Huisun mini ptz v2 minus the Pan/Tilt function.

hm. wonder what they mean by 'auto-zoom'?

the longse spec sheet says it has 4MP resolution 2688(H)*1520(V),
although the main stream is only listed at 1920x1080 (2MP).

makes me think this may be a digital zoom done in the cam, not a real optical zoom...

Specs are not always accurate, but they wouldn't be advertising zoom functionality on the main image if it didn't have it, it will certainly has to be optical. I have the same turret with imx178 sensor, the cam is sealed completely, there is no way to adjust the lens manually, so I am guessing they added motorized zoom in there.

The seller said both of these options have built-in Mic. I don't see anything in the description that confirms that.
