Loma Fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains

This is video from just a few minutes ago of a 400-Acre fire burning near the peak of Loma Prieta ridge. Currently, 300 structures are threatened by the fire. The line-of-site distance from our house to the fire is 18 miles (29 km).

The fire has grown to 2,250 Acres and is currently 10% contained. There are 1,100 firefighters working to contain the fire. Some cooler temperatures are expected in the next few days, so Cal Fire officials say containment might be possible by Monday.
