IVS direction

I have a 5442 cam at the front door and have been playing with the IVS
When creating the IVS rule, i have it set for B>A and the arrow is facing away from the door


But the in Live view, the arrow is facing the opposite way (the way it should be facing)


If i change the setting to be A>B, settings page will show arrow facing the door, but live view will show arrow facing away!!

Should both these views match??

Once you zigzag, you are getting it coming and going LOL.

You need to do separate tripwires if you only want them catching one direction.

Two comments -

An intrusion box may work better.

You need to think in three dimensions while looking at a two dimensional rendering of the scene you are working with.

I have gone to a single line and the directions match both views.

I'll look into the intrusion box.

Just seeing how well it works, while I decide on a front door cam

I’ve gone to both a single line AND intrusion box in critical areas where direction is important. Each scene is different and you just have to experiment .

Intrusion box will catch them coming and going though....
