Partitioned the HDD on my dedicated CCTV machine. Gave the Storage Server it's own drive and "formatted" it per the instructions. It did well recording trigger events for about 4 hours but hasn't recorded anything for a couple days though I can see when my cameras trigger on motion detection events. I have no idea why it stopped recording.
I have read where you have to install Storage Server at the very same time as iVMS-4200 and I did install it a few days later but if it mattered it wouldn't have worked at all, would it?
Also, when I start Storage Server I don't get any indication that it's running except for a pop-up that says it's already running. Out of curiosity I opened Task Manager to see if it was listed in the running apps and it's not. Is it hidden or could it just be coming on for an instant and then shutting down or?
