Is there a more comprehensive profiler in blue iris?

BI wobbles between 50 and 100% and I have no idea why.

I'm down to 4 cameras and it used to handle 8 cameras at 70%.

Could be decoding, could be motion detection, could be IO - no idea.

Is there a more granular profiler in this software?

Need more details. Number of cameras are irrelevant.

What computer are you using (i number and gen number)?

How much Ram?

Is the computer used for anything else?

Have you done very optimization in the wiki including substreams?

What version of Blue Iris? The newest, not rated stable, version cause my CPU to go crazy when I change cams. The latest stable version works great...

Version 5.8. All optimizations on, even tried the h264 pass-thru etc...
But let's stay on topic here, what I'm interested in is profiler functions.

There's not as far as I know. You can see more about camera traffic under the status screen but that's probably not all that helpful with just 4 cams. BI log file but doesn't sound like you're seeing errors. You can use Windows Task Manager and Resource Monitor to see a little more and to see what else might be affecting things when it's going high.
