Is the motion sensitivity on Normal the same as on Expert?

Regarding motion detection Normal vs. Expert:
Both settings have a Sensitivity setting. Are these two the same?

If I found a Sensitivity setting in normal mode, which is perfect for day time, but bad at night time, can I simply take this setting for the Expert mode day time? In Normal at day time everything is fine, but night way too many recordings.

I wonder how you get into Expert mode? I have been fooling around with my NVR for the past few days. The only option for me was the Sensitivity slide bar. I tried 20 lowest doesn't fix my issue with birds flying through 100x with a split of a second will trigger it if you have email and audible warning on will drive you bananas. And those bugs at night are worse.
